FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Where do Triumphens get the funds needed for their Events and Activities?

Triumphens pool whatever amount they can, and get their funds from generous donors. We are also trying to get some in-flow from our Charity Shop — USA & UK — from the sale of fashionable clothing, like hoodies, Tees, hats, cups & mugs and other attractive article.

Note: Every amount, either one cent or one dollar or a hundred or a million dollars, must be transferred through bank account… strictly through bank account only. No one from Triumphens PCT is authorized to accept any hard cash anywhere!

[Therefore, potential donors are humbly requested to donate any amount through Bank account: (within India) Triumphens Public Charitable Trust; Account Number: 031411100002713; IFSC Code: ANDB 0000314; Koritepadu Branch (branch code: 0314), Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India.]

What are Triumphens’ SHORT TERM goals?

Triumphens’ SHORT TERM goals are to Spread the Message about the plight of the old people, rich or poor, to the young people and make them realize that there is more satisfaction in loving the old than hating them, and also to point out that all the today’s youngsters will be the Senior Citizens in the future!

And that Old People deserve a better treatment though the old create all sorts of annoying issues!!

And, of course, to help the poor old people with what they need depending on our funds and resources!!

What are Triumphens’ LONG TERM goals?

Triumphens Prime LONG TERM goal is to build an Old Age Home that caters to not only food, clothing & shelter but also the medical care the old people need.

As it is there are several Old Age Homes, run on Charity and accepting payment, but none has the medical facilities needed for the old. Most Homes have a doctor visiting the Home and treating the patients suffering from minor ailments like flue, body aches, digestion complaints, but no average Home has a ‘sick bay’ type facility in it.

Even the Homes that run accepting payment send the patient to a nearby hospital where the patients have to pay for their treatment, or get the consent of their children, relatives or sponsors for any normal or expensive treatment.

Though we, the Triumphens, are aware of the fact that providing medical care to old people, especially the POOR old people, is a mammoth task that even the Developed Nations governments failed miserably, we like to take it up as a challenge and see to that every resident of our Home is given satisfying medical care!

And for this we need your generous hearts with huge amounts and with long helping hands!!

Thanks in advance!!!

What is Triumhens strategy in attaining their short term goals?

For their short term goals, Triumphens have already designed some strategy and have been following it for the past 3 years: visiting Charity run Homes to give food and some financial help and some gifts; going to schools to spread the message to the staff as well as the students that old people need the help and kindness from the young people; and going about busy locations in towns and cities to find any starving old people, mostly beggars, and give them some food and fresh water as a temporary help.

Viewers can find our Activities in “our events” in the navigational bar!

How do Triumphens expect to achieve the ‘mammoth task’ of building a large Old Age Home?

To achieve the Long Term goal of building a Home, Triumphens go about the industrialists, business companies and rich people in the community for their donations. We have plans to approach the local political leaders for a grant of a piece of govt. land so that half the investment/budget is saved or not needed as land is very, very expensive in areas where we can have all the facilities needed, like roads, water, drainage, electricity & shops, and where we can find maids and helpers, to man the mess and the Home, and, more importantly, hospitals, at least, primary health centers, where patients can be transported easily and quickly!

We have already made some inroads into the political circles with the close friends and relatives who are associated with the politicians of high level who can help us grant the land we require.

As an alternative, we approach land lords who have “estate duty” issues (huge taxes to be paid to the govt for having large plots of land owned by one family or members of the same family) so that they can donate a part of the land to avoid paying those huge amounts to the govt. In giving away land to the Charity not only saves them money but also gives them the honor of having their Family name (s) for ever on the plaque of the Home!!

Wish us “Luck” we need in achieving our ambitious goal!!!

And to get the constant inflow of money, we have our online Charity Shop which sells all type of fashionable Tees, hoodies, caps and other wonderful items at reasonable prices!

VOLUNTEER QUESTIONS

Who is a Triumphens volunteer?

Anyone who has some sympathy for the old is a Triumphens volunteer!

How to be a Triumphens Volunteer?

As spreading the message: Old People Deserve A Better Life! makes anyone a PASSIVE volunteer, doing something for the betterment of any old person makes one a Triumphens supporting Volunteer.

However, to be an Active Volunteer, one must attend our Events, guide prospective donors towards donating through bank account, and gather more and more active volunteers!

Those who are far away from our place but wish to do something for our Cause can organize Events, following our modus operandi in our ‘our events‘ videos.

Is there any payment for the volunteers?

Strictly no!

No volunteer is paid any salary. However, volunteers who arrange Events and carry goods to the venue, etc., are given allowances for petty expenses, that too, if they can’t afford.

Are there any rules & regulations the volunteers should abide by?

Yes!

Volunteers are not supposed to accept any cash from any donor; all the transactions related to donations should be through the bank account!!

Volunteers are expected to follow the norms and stick to the modus oprendi of Triumphens. Any new ideas or plans must be informed to the committee and get the approval before even expressing them in public!!!

DONORS QUESTIONS

How much freedom a donor has in suggesting the way their donation is used?

Absolutely nil!

Though Triumphens highly respect each donor, no donor has any say or power in directing how their donation is used. However, suggestions that don’t involve donor’s personal preferences are welcomed.

Ours is a Trust and the donors must have some trust in us and must think well before donating anything. Once a donation is made, the donor is heavily thanked and his/her name is announced on the banner we use at the Event and the same is also posted on our website and social media channels.

This decision is made after a thorough consideration and all the generous donors must understand that Triumphens can’t oblige to all the demands or even suggestions of our donors as there is the fear of deviating from the main purpose of establishing this Trust!

[Those donors who wish to remain anonymous must inform us earlier through an email so that we honor their wish and keep their name in our official records but hide from the public eye.]

Apart from cash, what else can a donor donate?

Apart from hard cash, which is to be sent through our bank account, a donor can donate several things: toiletries, bed-sheets, blankets, towels, caps, hats, shoes, pillows, hand mirrors, and emergency portable lamps, public address systems (to be given to the management of the charity run Homes) and metal flasks, mugs, plates, tumblers, etc.

Note: Any article that is donated must be in some good number and must be a new one. Used, damaged or cheap quality items are rejected without hesitation because we wish to treat the poor old people with some respect!

However, donors can have their personal name, company or product marketing logo or caption printed on their articles!!

[Note: The article donated should not have any religious, political and caste, creed or class matter on them; no names of gods or goddesses, nor any indirect indication of self-promoting message is accepted.]

Donors are requested to respect our ethics and rules & regulations so that we can carry on serving the poor old people without any tassels!!!

How to deal with cash donation transactions?

No Triumphen or volunteer is authorized to accept cash donations!

All cash transactions must be carried out through our Bank Account ONLY!

[For the donors from abroad, please click here.]

And within India: Triumphens Public Charitable Trust; Account Number: 031411100002713; IFSC Code: ANDB 0000314; Koritepadu Branch (branch code: 0314), Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India.]

If in case any serious donor from out of India finds any difficulty in transferring the amount through our bank account in India, we humbly request them take a step more to show their generosity and find a friend in India to whom they can send the amount and ask them to sent to our account. This issue arises only some times when there may some unpredictable strictures the Government of India may impose on the NGOs in general and Trusts in particular.

So Triumphens humbly request the donors from abroad to bear with me.

Is there any “tax exemption“ to the donor?

As of now, July 2019, Triumphens does not have that 80G privilege!

However, we have already got the tax exemption for our Trust and have been pursuing our case with the Income Tax Department for 80 G!!

We announce the good news of getting 80G as soon as we get it from the IT department!!!

Can a donor ask Triumphens to conduct any Event on their premises?

Yes, the donors can!

However, it all depends on the nature of the Event. The Event should be either Spread Message Event or Free Meal Event or Gift Giving Event, and the Event should be carried out by the Triumphens and within the rules and regulations of the Trust.
